Most garden feeders fail at the base long before the tube cracks — the bit that gets knocked, overfilled and scraped clean every week is the part that was never built as heavily as the rest of the feeder. Henry Bell's answer is to put the heavy-duty base on a simpler, cheaper feeder rather than only on their premium range.

The Everyday feeder is a compact version of Henry Bell's Heavy Duty line, made of aluminium and finished in black, and carries over the same base design: an all-in-one unit with more perch space than a standard base and a shape that helps collect food debris rather than scatter it. Henry Bell describe it as easy to clean and refill.

• Aluminium construction
• Black finish
• All-in-one base with extra perch space
• Base collects food debris rather than scattering it
• Designed to be easy to clean and refill
• Compact version of Henry Bell's Heavy Duty range

What the label does not say. Henry Bell do not publish a capacity, height or width for this feeder, so there is nothing here to compare against a specific bracket or pole mount before it arrives. Nor is there a stated seed type it is built around — treat it as a general mixed-seed feeder unless you know otherwise.

Who it's for: garden bird feeders who want the sturdier Heavy Duty base design without paying for the full-size range, particularly anyone whose current feeder keeps failing at the base rather than the tube.
