Full description
A rope lead sits differently in the hand than a flat webbing one, which is either the entire reason someone buys one or the entire reason they don't, and there isn't much middle ground.
This is a soft rope trigger lead, 14mm thick and 48 inches long (1.4 x 120cm), finished with hand-stitched full-grain leather tabs at the trigger and handle ends.
- 14mm rope, 48" (1.4 x 120cm) long
- Hand-stitched full-grain leather tabs
- Trigger clip fastening
- Soft rope construction
A limitation worth flagging. No maximum dog weight or breaking strain is given, so we can't say how it compares to a webbing lead for a strong puller — judge it by the rope's own thickness (14mm) against what you already know works for your dog.
Who it's for: owners who prefer the feel of a rope lead in the hand over flat webbing, and like the look of leather tabs at each end.

Why we chose it
Leather tabs on a rope lead are a genuine step up in finish over the plastic-tipped versions at a similar price, and they are the detail that actually shows wear first on a cheaper lead. 48 inches is also a comfortable length for everyday walking rather than a short training lead.
