A treat-dispensing station turns a chew session into something slower and more absorbing than a plain bone or biscuit, which is worth more to a bored or anxious dog than the treat inside it ever is on its own.

This is Guru's Treat Station in the large size, a treat-dispensing toy designed to be filled and worked out gradually rather than eaten in one go.

• Treat-dispensing design
• Large size
• Designed to be filled with treats or food and worked out gradually

What we don't know. the makers supply almost nothing else about this toy — no material, no weight, no dimensions and no cleaning instructions have reached us, so we can't tell you what it's made from or whether it's dishwasher safe. If either of those matters to your decision, it's worth asking before buying rather than assuming.

Who it's for: owners of a dog in the larger size bracket looking for a treat-dispensing toy to slow down eating or fill idle time, rather than a plain chew with nothing hidden inside it.
