A dog that chews out of boredom is looking for something to do as much as something to gnaw, which is why a chew with a scent as well as a texture tends to hold their interest longer than a plain one.

GoodWood's chew is made from coffee wood sourced from Colombia's coffee-growing regions, infused with Madagascar vanilla. GoodWood describe it as releasing natural vanilla compounds as the dog chews, alongside the dental benefits of gnawing on a hard wood chew. It's a complementary treat rather than a meal, made in four sizes.

• Coffee wood from Colombia, infused with Madagascar vanilla
• Vanilla compounds released while chewing, per GoodWood
• Supports dental health through the act of chewing
• Complementary treat, not a complete food
• Made in four sizes

One thing worth knowing. GoodWood don't give a calorie figure, a composition breakdown, or a recommended chewing frequency on the facts we hold, so treat it as an occasional chew alongside a complete diet, not a food in its own right — and always supervise a dog with any wood chew.

Who it's for: owners of a dog that chews regularly and would benefit from dental stimulation, whose dog also responds well to novel scents rather than a plain wood chew.
