Full description

Flavour is the only variable between most rawhide chews on a shelf, and chicken is usually the one that gets a dog's attention fastest.

The composition here is rawhide and rice starch, with chicken flavouring and colourants added - there's no actual chicken meat in the recipe. Crude protein sits at 83%, which comes from the rawhide's own collagen content rather than from any poultry.

Composition: rawhide, rice starch
Chicken flavouring and colourants added, no chicken meat listed
Crude protein 83%, fat content 3.5%
Crude fibre 4%, crude ash 5%, moisture 14%
450G bag

Being straight about it. Chicken Bones is a flavour name rather than an ingredient list - there's no chicken in the composition, just chicken flavouring on a rawhide and rice starch base. The high protein figure is real but it's rawhide protein, not the poultry protein the name might suggest.

Who it's for: Owners buying a long-lasting rawhide chew in bulk who want the chicken flavour rather than beef or mint, more than anyone adding chicken to a dog's diet specifically.

Good Boy Chicken Bones

Why we chose it

This is a straightforward bulk bag of rawhide chews at a fair price, and we'd rather say plainly that chicken here means flavouring rather than meat than let the name do the talking. A dog getting through chews quickly needs volume more than it needs subtlety, and 450G in one bag delivers that.
