Size guide & how to measure

Collars are sized by the neck girth — the measurement around the base of the neck where the collar will sit.

How to measure

Wrap a soft tape around the base of the neck.
Add room for two fingers between the tape and the neck.
Use that measurement to pick a size whose range it falls within.

Size	Typical neck girth	Rough guide
XS	20–28 cm	Toy breeds, kittens
S	26–36 cm	Small dogs
M	34–48 cm	Medium dogs
L	46–60 cm	Large dogs
XL	58–72 cm	Giant breeds

Ranges are approximate and vary by style. Always check this product’s Specifications for its exact measurements.

Full description

This is a glow-in-the-dark collar, not a light. There is no battery and nothing to charge: the silicone takes up light during the day and gives it back as a soft glow after dark, fading gradually as the evening goes on. That is genuinely useful for spotting a cat crossing the garden at nine at night. It is not a substitute for a lit or reflective collar on a road walk, and we would rather you knew that before you ordered.

The chain is silicone, soft and flexible with nothing rigid to press into the neck, and it carries a small metal bell. The rope measures 29cm and the maker describes it as freely adjustable. Four patterns are made — footprints, fishbone, a love heart and a paw print. The bell deserves a thought in both directions: it warns garden birds that a cat is coming, which many owners want, and it irritates a minority of cats, which is worth watching for over the first few days.

Rope length 29cm, described as freely adjustable
Silicone chain with a metal bell
Four patterns: footprints, fishbone, love heart, paw print
Glows in the dark with no battery and no charging
Listed by the maker for cats
Weighs 15g

Two things worth knowing. We hold the four patterns and will confirm what is on the shelf before shipping. Second, no quick-release safety buckle is specified, and a cat collar that cannot break away can catch on a branch, so we would not put this on a cat with outdoor access.

Who it's for: Indoor and garden cats whose owners want to see them move after dark, and small dogs in an unlit garden rather than on the road.

Why we chose it

Glow, not light - no battery, it charges in daylight and fades over the evening. Good for spotting a cat in the garden, not for a road. No breakaway buckle specified, so I would keep it to indoor and garden cats.
