Details
A dog who empties a bowl in fifteen seconds swallows a good deal of air along with it, and gulped meals sit behind a lot of the burping, retching and post-dinner discomfort that owners put down to the food itself. Slowing the pace fixes more than it sounds like it should. This bowl does the job twice over, with a maze tray to eat around and a spinner in the middle that has to be nudged before it gives anything up.
The centre is a flower-shaped turntable that rotates when your dog pushes it with a nose or a paw, releasing kibble a little at a time into the petal maze surrounding it. That turns dinner into a short puzzle rather than a race, and the puzzle element is what holds the attention of dogs who quickly learn to hoover a plain maze bowl. It is moulded in food-safe PP, 24 cm across and 8.5 cm tall.
