On portion sizes
Fibafirst's own guide is built around a 2.5kg rabbit needing about 75g a day, split across two feeds, though they also say it can be fed more freely because its profile is close to hay - just keep an eye on weight if you do. There's no calorie count on this card, so the 75g figure is the only portion guidance we can pass on.
Why we chose it
Selective feeding is a genuine problem in rabbits fed a mixed bowl, and a single pellet with nowhere to hide the boring bits is the practical fix. At 30% crude fibre it's doing a hay-like job in pellet form, which is unusual for something this easy to portion.

Full description
Given the choice, a rabbit will pick out the tastiest pieces of a mixed bowl and leave the rest, which is exactly the selective feeding that a single, uniform pellet is designed to stop.
Fibafirst is built from timothy hay, alfalfa stalks, wheat flour, soybean flour, ground peas, locust bean meal, alfalfa protein extract, flaked oats, linseed, soya oil, salt and dicalcium phosphate, pressed into a single pellet rather than a mixed bowl. Fibafirst describe their fibre as 100% beneficial and sell it as a complete food.
- Single, uniform pellet - nothing to pick out
- Crude fibre 30%, crude protein 14%
- Crude oils and fats 3.5%, crude ash 7.5%
- Calcium 0.8%, phosphorus 0.4%, sodium 0.4%
- Around 75g a day suggested for a 2.5kg rabbit

Who it's for: Rabbits that pick through a mixed bowl and leave the fibre behind, and owners wanting a single pellet that removes the selective-feeding problem rather than trying to out-hide it.
