For a large adult dog on a weight-management routine, the useful comparison starts with the declared energy-management formula and its separate loss and maintenance portions.

This 12KG Eukanuba Special Care recipe is complete and balanced for large adult dogs. Its composition begins with maize, followed by 15% dried chicken and turkey including 11% chicken, then 10% fresh chicken. Analysis declares 21% protein, 8.5% fat, 2.7% crude fibre and 1.1% calcium; L-carnitine is listed at 50mg/kg. The label also lists beet pulp, linseed, brewer’s yeast and prebiotic FOS, while the additive panel identifies vitamins, trace elements and tocopherol extracts.

Why we chose it

We chose it because the label separates weight-loss quantities from maintenance portions instead of presenting one generic ration. Its composition and full analytical panel also let shoppers judge what the weight-control wording means.
