Full description

A basket muzzle is the humane choice and it looks like the opposite, which is why so many owners buy a close-fitting fabric one instead and then discover their dog cannot pant in it. Panting is how a dog sheds heat. An open steel cage lets an animal breathe fully, drink, and take a treat, which is the difference between a muzzle you can walk in for an hour and one that becomes dangerous after ten minutes.
