Collars are sized by the neck girth — the measurement around the base of the neck where the collar will sit.

How to measure

Wrap a soft tape around the base of the neck.
Add room for two fingers between the tape and the neck.
Use that measurement to pick a size whose range it falls within.

Full description

Photograph collars and everyday collars are different objects, and it is worth being clear about which one you are buying here. This is a strand of pearls with a small charm hanging from it, made to be put on for twenty minutes and taken off again afterwards. Three charms are offered: a purple ghost, a skull pumpkin and a smiling pumpkin. It is a lovely thing in a picture and it is not a replacement for the collar your cat lives in.

The reason to keep those two things separate is the safety catch. A proper cat collar has a quick-release buckle that opens under pressure, because a cat who snags a collar on a branch or a fence panel needs it to come apart immediately. Decorative strung collars generally do not have one. Put this on for the photographs, take it off afterwards, and put the everyday collar back on.
