Full description

A growing kitten needs its main food to do the whole nutritional job, which makes complete status the first useful check on a bag. The next is the actual meat declaration rather than the picture or flavour word.

Burgess Kitten Chicken is complete dry food for kittens and comes in more than one bag size. Poultry meal accounts for 28%, including chicken at 25%. The recipe also lists rice, wholegrain maize, poultry fat, wholegrain wheat, fish meal and egg powder. Its analysis declares crude protein 32%, crude fat 17%, crude fibre 1.5%, crude ash 8% and calcium 1.5%. Short chain fructo-oligosaccharides are included at 0.4%.

On changing foods. Burgess says to use the table on the pack as a guide, adjust for appetite, environment and activity, and introduce the food gradually over a week. Fresh, clean water should always be available. The supplied guidance does not provide a single portion that applies to every kitten.
