Small animals that stop foraging naturally in a cage tend to eat faster and get less mental stimulation from a meal than one that has to work for it, which is the reason behind a compressed bale designed to be pulled apart rather than a bowl of loose hay.

This mini bale is 92% timothy hay topped with 6% marigold, with raffia and starch holding its shape. Burgess position it, like the rest of the Forage & Feast range, as a way to encourage natural foraging behaviour alongside a pet's usual diet.
