Not every wash needs to be a specialist one — plenty of dogs and cats get bathed only a few times a year, and for those, a plain, no-fuss shampoo does everything that's actually needed.

This one is sold simply as a 2-in-1, in a 250ml bottle, in our dog and cat retail shampoo range. Beyond that, the information passed to us by the maker doesn't go any further — no scent, no specific coat type, no ingredient breakdown.

• 250ml bottle
• Described on the pack as a 2-in-1 formula
• Listed in our retail shampoo range for dogs and cats
• A wash-in shampoo rather than a leave-in product

What the card doesn't tell us. This is one of the thinnest information sheets we have — no ingredient list, no scent, and no coat type it's aimed at beyond "2-in-1" on the bottle itself. If you need a shampoo matched to a specific skin or coat issue, this isn't the one to pick on faith; a bottle with a fuller spec is the safer choice for that.

Who it's for: owners who just want a basic, no-frills 2-in-1 wash for a dog or cat with no particular skin issue, at a low price point.
