Specifications

Brand: Bucktons

Full description

A budgie mix does not need to be complicated to work - many keepers get by for years on a straightforward two-seed blend rather than anything more elaborate, and Bucktons' 50/50 mix is exactly that kind of simple, established formula rather than a newer speciality blend.

The composition is white millet, canary seed and oil. Beyond the ingredient list itself, no further breakdown - protein, fat or fibre content - is given for this specific product on the card.

On what's missing. No nutritional analysis is published for this mix, so if you are trying to balance a budgie's overall diet precisely against another food, only the ingredient list is available here, not a percentage breakdown.

Who it's for: budgie keepers who want a straightforward, established millet and canary seed mix rather than a more elaborate blend, bought in bulk.

Bucktons 50/50 Budgie

Why we chose it

A simple, established two-seed mix like this works for most budgies without needing anything fancier, and buying it at 20kg makes sense for anyone keeping several birds through a mix that gets eaten daily. There is no reason to overcomplicate a food this basic.
