A big dog isn't just a small dog scaled up - the joints carrying that extra frame take a different kind of daily load, and a food built for a 12kg dog doesn't automatically suit one three or four times the size. BETA's large-breed recipe is aimed at dogs over 25kg specifically, rather than being the standard adult food in a bigger bag.

Turkey meal leads the composition at 28%, with wheat, corn and wheat middling making up most of the rest, and poultry fat rather than a separate oil blend. Fish oil is included as a named source of omega-3, at a smaller share than the plant-based fats, alongside a chicory root prebiotic (1%).
