Parrots kept on a plain seed diet will happily eat the same handful of favourite seeds and leave the rest, which is part of why a genuinely varied mix - different textures, shapes and flavours - tends to get worked through more thoroughly than a simple two-ingredient blend. Bestpets' Tropical Parrot Mix leans hard into that variety.

The composition runs to sunflower seed, oats, maize, peanuts in shell, an extruded biscuit made from wheat, wheatfeed, maize and soya oil, raisins and sultanas, flaked peas, maize grits, dried banana, safflower seed, shelled peanuts, white pumpkin seed, chillies, and a separate yellow biscuit made from wheat flour with added colourant. It is a complementary or treat feed rather than a bird's whole diet, and it is not grain free.

• Wide mix: seeds, nuts, dried fruit and biscuit pieces
• Contains peanuts, both in shell and shelled
• Includes dried banana, raisins, sultanas and chillies
• Complementary or treat feed, not a complete diet
• Not grain free
• 15kg bag

On what's in it. This mix contains peanuts (both in shell and shelled) as a significant ingredient, alongside a biscuit element with added colourant - worth checking against any specific dietary restriction you keep for your birds, since it is a genuinely varied mix rather than a plain seed blend.

Who it's for: parrot keepers who want a varied, treat-style mix with real textural and flavour variety, fed alongside a bird's main complete diet rather than as the whole of it.
