A muzzle that's lighter than the classic design only earns that description if it hasn't given up strength to get there, so the four-times-stronger figure on this one matters more than the weight saving alone.

This basket muzzle is made from thermoplastic rubber (TPR) that Baskerville describe as lighter than their classic plastic design but four times stronger, heat-reshapeable for a custom fit, with a padded nose piece and adjustable neck strap. It includes a removable guard insert for extra scavenging prevention and is aimed at longer-nosed breeds — Baskerville name German Shepherds, Dachshunds and Greyhounds as examples.

On the breed list. German Shepherds, Dachshunds and Greyhounds are given as examples of longer-nosed breeds this suits, not an exhaustive list — and no snout length or girth measurement is published for any of the size codes, so a breed not named here isn't necessarily excluded, but you're fitting by trying it rather than by breed name alone.

Who it's for: owners of longer-nosed dogs — named or not — who want a muzzle positioned as stronger than the classic range, with the scavenging-guard insert included.
