Keeping a handful of hens doesn't justify buying and storing several different feed sacks, which is the whole reason a single complete poultry mix exists as a category rather than everyone mixing their own from straight grains.

Argo Poultry Mix Complete combines wheat, maize, wheatfeed, micronised peas, micronised maize, soya, rape, micronised soya and wheat, dried grass, oyster shell grit, calcium carbonate, molasses and added vitamins and minerals. Analysis gives 14% crude protein, 3% crude oil, 5% crude fibre and 5% crude ash, and Argo describe it as a premium complete diet that needs no supplementation, fed ad-lib alongside clean water.

• Crude protein 14%, crude oil 3%, crude fibre 5%, crude ash 5%
• Composition includes wheat, maize, wheatfeed, micronised peas, soya, rape, dried grass, oyster shell grit
• Soya is produced from genetically modified soya beans
• Fed on an ad-lib basis with clean fresh water
• Described as needing no further supplementation
• 5kg or 15kg bag

One thing worth knowing. The soya in this mix is stated as produced from genetically modified soya beans — Argo don't hide it, but it's easy to miss in a long ingredient list, so it's worth flagging if that's something you check for.

Who it's for: small-flock keepers who want one complete feed for all their poultry rather than mixing straights and supplements themselves, and who aren't concerned about GM soya in the composition.
