Full description

Fish-based dry food exists mainly for dogs whose owners have already ruled out something else — usually a reaction to a more common protein — which makes it a food people tend to seek out specifically rather than pick up on a whim.

Arden Grange's Large Breed Sensitive Fish recipe is built on fresh ocean white fish (22%) and ocean white fish meal (17%), with sweet potato and potato as the main carbohydrate sources rather than grains. Protein sits at 24% and fat at 13%, with glucosamine (740mg/kg), MSM (740mg/kg) and chondroitin (520mg/kg) added for large-breed joints.

On "naturally hypoallergenic". Arden Grange describe this recipe as naturally hypoallergenic because it excludes wheat gluten, beef, soya and dairy — common triggers, not a guarantee against every possible reaction. If your dog has a confirmed allergy, check the full ingredient list against it rather than relying on the word "hypoallergenic" alone.

Who it's for: a large-breed adult dog with sensitive skin or digestion, particularly one already known to react to grain or a more common meat protein.

Arden Grange Adult Dog Large Breed Sensitive Fish

Why we chose it

This is the recipe we reach for when a customer says their large dog reacts to chicken or grain, because it swaps both out for fish and sweet potato rather than just reducing the amount of the trigger ingredient. It also carries the same joint-support additions as Arden Grange's other large-breed recipes.
