Full description
A garden without a fence, or a campsite with none at all, still leaves a dog needing somewhere to be that isn't the end of your arm. A ground stake gives them a fixed point to be tethered to instead.
Ancol's Tie-Out Stake is a spiral metal stake that screws into the ground, designed to take a tie-out cable or chain. The spiral shape is specifically to stop the tether wrapping round the stake and tangling, which a straight peg doesn't prevent.
- Spiral metal ground stake
- Prevents the tether wrapping round it or tangling
- Weighs 0.35kg
- For use with a separate tie-out cable or chain
What isn't included. This is the ground stake only - the tie-out cable or chain that clips to it is sold separately, and Ancol don't give us a maximum recommended dog weight or a stake length on the information we have, so it's worth checking the product photos for scale before you order.
Who it's for: owners who need to tether a dog outdoors temporarily - in the garden, at a campsite, or anywhere without a fence - rather than leaving them loose or holding a lead the whole time.

Why we chose it
It solves a specific problem - somewhere secure to leave a dog outdoors without a fence - that a lot of general accessories don't cover at all. It's also cheap enough that it's not a big decision to just have one in the boot for camping trips.
