Full description
Puppies and small breeds don't need a heavy-duty lead built for a dog three times their size, and a soft fleece cover over a nylon weave is a reasonable middle ground between flimsy and overbuilt.
This lead pairs a strong, weatherproof nylon weave with a soft teddy bear fleece cover, designed specifically for small dogs and puppies. It measures 100cm x 1.9cm.

On sizing up later. This is built specifically for small breeds and puppies — the makers do not give a weight rating, so it should not be assumed to cope once a puppy grows into a larger adult dog. Check whether a sturdier lead elsewhere in the range suits better at that point.
Who it's for: owners of a small dog or a puppy wanting a lightweight, softly covered lead rather than a heavier standard one.

Why we chose it
The fleece cover is a genuine comfort difference for a small dog's neck and a puppy's first leads, not just a look. It's priced for something a growing puppy might outgrow within a year or two.
