Full description
Choosing a lead also means choosing how it sits on the dog. A slip loop and a head halter are different arrangements, even when the same piece of rope can be used to make both.
Ancol's Rope Slip and Control Lead combines those arrangements in a nylon rope design. A figure-eight loop and infinity loop holder form the head halter, with a keeper to adjust its size. The nylon has a diamond weave and leather finishing at the joints. The maker's size label is 1.2 x 150cm, and this SKU is black.
- Nylon rope with a diamond weave
- Leather finishing at the joints
- Slip lead and head halter arrangements
- Adjustable keeper and infinity loop holder
- maker size label: 1.2 x 150cm
Adjustment needs more than a product photo. The supplied text does not give a neck or muzzle measurement range, a maximum dog weight or a complete fitting guide. The rope dimensions are not a fit guarantee. Follow Ancol's fitting instructions rather than treating the head halter arrangement as self-explanatory.
Who it's for: owners specifically looking for Ancol's combined slip-and-head-halter design and able to check that its fitting arrangement suits their dog.

Why we chose it
The adjustable keeper is the detail I would compare first on this design. Ancol also state the rope construction and joint finish, so there is something concrete to judge beyond the word control.
