Full description
A cat or small dog curling up somewhere it can't be seen from every side is behaviour, not fussiness - an enclosed bed answers an instinct to sleep with its back covered, which a flat cushion never quite offers.
The Plush Cove is a deep-filled cushion made with recycled fibre, built into a cave shape with sides high enough to close a small dog or cat off from the room. The outer cover comes off for washing, and the base is non-slip, so it doesn't skate across a hard floor when something climbs in or out of it.
- Cave-style enclosed design
- Deep-filled cushion, recycled fibre filling
- Removable outer cover
- Non-slip base
- Machine washable at 30 degrees
- Single size
One thing worth knowing. This comes in one size only, so it suits a genuinely small dog or a cat rather than anything mid-sized looking for an enclosed bed. Ancol don't publish external dimensions on the card we have, so if you're unsure whether your pet will fit inside it rather than curl up on top of it, that's worth checking against the product photos before you buy.
Who it's for: cats and small dogs that like to sleep tucked away rather than out in the open, and owners who want a cover they can actually wash rather than a bed they eventually have to replace.

Why we chose it
A washable cover is the reason this earns a place over a cheaper fixed-cover bed - a bed that can't go in the machine ends up smelling like the thing it's meant to be comfortable for. It's a small, light parcel too, which keeps postage sensible on a bed this size.
