Harnesses are sized by the chest (girth) — the measurement around the widest part of the ribcage, just behind the front legs.

How to measure

Stand your pet up squarely.
Wrap a soft tape around the widest part of the chest, just behind the front legs.
Keep two fingers under the tape so the fit is snug, not tight.
If your pet is between sizes, choose the larger one.

A harness that's comfortable standing still and one that's still comfortable ten minutes into a walk are not always the same product, which is why the material against the dog's skin matters as much as the strap that does the pulling. Ancol build the Viva Mesh Harness around that distinction.

It combines poly-weave webbing, chosen for durability, with an air-mesh fabric panel for comfort against the body, and a reflective band is built in to help with visibility in low light.
