Nineteen plastic bottles turning into a soft toy is a better outcome than nineteen plastic bottles doing what plastic bottles usually do, which is sitting in landfill for centuries. That's the premise behind Ancol's Made From range before you even get to the play value.

This orangutan is built entirely from recycled materials - the filling and the outer plush fabric are both 100% recycled, made from 19 post-consumer plastic bottles in total. It's part of a range highlighting endangered land species, so the animal it's shaped like isn't random.

• Made from 19 post-consumer plastic bottles
• 100% recycled filling and outer plush fabric
• Single size
• Machine washable at 30 degrees, do not tumble dry
• Designed for cuddling and gentle play

On durability. This is a soft plush toy built for cuddling and gentle play, not a heavy-duty chew - Ancol are explicit that it is not indestructible and that dogs should be supervised with it, so it is not the right toy for a determined chewer regardless of the story behind the materials.

Who it's for: dogs that like a soft toy to carry and cuddle rather than destroy, and owners who'd rather that toy came from recycled bottles than new plastic.
