Full description
A lead in a checked, countryside print is one of the few pieces of dog-walking kit that reads as deliberate rather than purely functional, without giving up any of the function underneath.
This is a 1m lead built on a hardwearing nylon base, finished with a country-inspired check fabric, and rated to a maximum recommended weight of 50kg.
- 1m length, 19mm width
- Country-check fabric over a hardwearing nylon base
- Maximum recommended weight 50kg
- Matching collars, harnesses and coats available separately
- Not designed to be mouthed by the dog wearing it
On safety: Ancol specifically instruct that you should not allow your dog to mouth this lead - the printed fabric finish isn't built to survive being chewed the way a plain nylon lead might, so it's worth training that habit out early rather than after the print starts to wear.
Who it's for: owners who want a lead that looks the part in a countryside or check pattern, on a dog that's already past the mouthing-everything stage.

Why we chose it
A country-check finish is genuinely a step up in looks from a plain nylon lead, and Ancol have matching collars, harnesses and coats if you want the whole set to match. The mouthing warning is exactly the sort of thing we'd rather flag than let someone find out the hard way.
