Care: Can be washed on a gentle cool wash at 30°
Brand: Ancol

Full description

Cats that crave privacy rather than an open cushion are common enough that an entire category of enclosed beds exists just for them, and an open bed left for a cat like that usually goes unused.

Ancol's Ear Cave Bed is shaped as a cosy, semi-enclosed retreat, aimed at cats and small dogs. Ancol say it reduces the chances of a pet being disturbed while it sleeps and has proven popular with cats that want to shut the world out, and it can be washed on a gentle cool wash at 30 degrees.

Cosy, semi-enclosed cave shape
For cats and small dogs
Machine washable at 30°C, gentle cool cycle
Designed to reduce disturbance while sleeping
Supplied in widely recycled packaging

On the fit. Ancol don't give internal dimensions or a filling material on this card, so if you need to check it will fit a particular cat comfortably, that detail isn't something we can confirm from what's supplied.

Who it's for: cats — and small dogs — that seek out enclosed, hidden spots to sleep rather than an open bed in the middle of the room.

Ancol Cat Ear Cave Bed

Why we chose it

An enclosed shape like this is genuinely different from the open cushion beds that make up most of the range, and it's aimed at the cats that specifically won't use those. Being machine washable at 30 degrees also means it's a bed you can actually keep clean rather than one you replace.
