Not every dog wants to be approached by a stranger on a walk, and there's no obvious way for anyone else to know that just by looking — a lead that signals it for you does some of that work before a conversation is even needed.
This is the Nervous lead from Obedia's Awareness range, designed to give other people a clear, calm visual signal about a dog that needs space. It's made in the UK from recycled webbing, 40mm wide, chosen for visibility, strength and durability.

One detail that is missing. There's no lead length given on this card, and a lead alone doesn't stop someone approaching who hasn't noticed or understood the signal, so it's worth pairing it with actually asking people to give space, rather than relying on the lead's colour or wording to do all the work.
Who it's for: owners of a nervous or anxious dog who want a simple, visible way to signal to other walkers and dog owners that space is needed.

Why we chose it
A visual signal is a genuinely useful, low-effort way to head off an unwanted approach before it happens, which is why the Awareness range earns a place over a plain lead. Recycled UK-made webbing is also a straightforward point in its favour on its own terms.
