Winalot feeding guide
Winalot prints a feeding table on its cans and packs, based on your dog's weight, and that's the right starting point rather than a generic figure found elsewhere. We can't write a feeding plan for your specific dog, since that depends on things a pack table doesn't account for — activity level, neuter status, and anything your vet has specifically advised.
You might also want to browse slow feeder bowls and licking mats.
How to use the pack guide properly
Weigh your dog rather than estimating, since even a modest misjudgement of weight throws the whole recommended amount off. Winalot's guide gives a daily total, usually split across two meals, and it's a sensible starting point that should be adjusted if your dog is visibly gaining or losing weight on that amount.
A less active, neutered, or older dog typically needs less than an intact, younger or more active dog of the same weight. If you're unsure which adjustment applies to your dog, or their weight is moving in a direction that concerns you, speak to your vet rather than guessing.
What we stock from the range
Winalot is a well-established, widely available wet dog food brand, sold mainly in cans and built around meaty chunks or classic recipes in gravy or jelly. It's an everyday, mainstream option rather than a specialist or prescription diet.
We carry a selection from the range rather than every recipe Winalot makes, and what's shown in the grid above reflects what we currently have available to order. As with any wet food, it can be fed as a whole diet or alongside a dry food, adjusting portions accordingly.
Switching your dog onto Winalot
Introduce it gradually over several days, mixing in more of the new food and less of the old one each time rather than swapping in one go. This matters for wet food changes as much as dry ones, since a sudden switch in texture or fat content can unsettle a dog's stomach regardless of the specific brand.
Keep an eye on your dog's stools and appetite during the changeover, and slow the transition down further if they seem unsettled. If the change doesn't settle within a few days, or your dog seems unwell, speak to your vet rather than persisting with it.

Common questions
- How much Winalot should I feed my dog?
- Follow the daily amount on the pack for your dog's actual weight, split across the number of meals recommended. Weigh your dog rather than estimating, and adjust the amount if their weight starts moving in a direction you didn't expect, mentioning it to your vet if you're unsure.
- Is Winalot a complete food?
- The core Winalot recipes we stock are labelled complete, meaning they're formulated to cover an adult dog's needs without another food alongside them. Check the specific pack, since not every product in a range is always labelled the same way.
- Can I mix Winalot with dry food?
- Yes, feeding a wet food like Winalot alongside a dry one is common. Reduce the portion of each so the combined total matches what your dog needs for their weight, rather than feeding a full amount of both.
- Does Giddy Pets stock every Winalot recipe?
- We stock a selection rather than every recipe the brand makes. What's shown in the grid above is what we currently have listed, and that can change as the range and our stock both do.
