Whimzees dental dog chews
Whimzees make natural, vegetable-based dental chews, sold in a range of distinctive shapes designed to be worked over rather than swallowed in one bite. We stock a selection from the range, including the Rice Bone Dental Dog Chew Value Bags, as a dental-support chew for dogs who need something to chew on between brushes.
What Whimzees chews are
The chews are built from vegetable-based ingredients rather than rawhide or animal by-products, and each shape is designed with edges and textures intended to scrape gently against the teeth as a dog chews. That mechanical action is the main way any dental chew helps, alongside proper brushing rather than instead of it.
Our Rice Bone Dental Dog Chew Value Bags are a bone-shaped chew from the range, sold in a multi-pack rather than as single chews, which suits an owner giving them as a regular part of a dog's week rather than an occasional treat.
Who they suit
Whimzees suit a dog who already chews confidently and enjoys having something to work on, and they are a reasonable addition to a dental routine that already includes brushing rather than a replacement for it. Any hard chew carries some risk for a dog who tries to swallow large pieces whole, so supervise a new chew the first few times.
They are not aimed at puppies still teething or at dogs with existing dental pain, both of which are better assessed by a vet before introducing a new chew. For a healthy adult dog with no dental problems, they are a straightforward everyday chew rather than a specialist treatment.
Fitting the chew to your dog
Whimzees chews are sized differently across the range, and matching the right size to your dog's weight and jaw strength matters for both safety and how long a chew actually lasts. A chew that's too small for a large, determined chewer can be swallowed in a couple of bites rather than being worked over properly, which defeats the point of it.
If you're trying a new size or shape for the first time, watch your dog with it for the first few sessions rather than leaving them with it unsupervised, the same sensible precaution worth taking with any chew that's new to your dog.

Common questions
- Do Whimzees chews actually clean teeth?
- The chewing action can help remove some soft debris mechanically, in the same way any firm chew can, but it is not a substitute for proper brushing or a vet check if you are concerned about your dog's teeth. Think of it as a helpful addition rather than dental treatment.
- What size chew does my dog need?
- Whimzees chews are sold in different sizes to match different dogs, and choosing one too large or too small for your dog's mouth is not ideal. Check the pack sizing against your dog's weight, and supervise a new chew the first few times to see how they manage it.
- Does Giddy Pets stock the whole Whimzees range?
- No, we stock a selection from the range, including the Rice Bone Dental Dog Chew Value Bags, rather than every shape and size Whimzees makes. What is shown in the grid above reflects what we currently have to order.
