Pedigree reviews: what the range covers
We don't run a separate reviews page for Pedigree — this is the straight version instead. Pedigree is one of the biggest, most widely available dog food and treat brands in the UK, spanning wet food, dry food, biscuits, training treats and dental chews, and we stock a broad selection across most of those categories.
What the range covers
Pedigree's range is wide rather than narrow: wet food in cans and pouches, dry complete food, biscuit treats like Markies and Biscrok, dental chews under the Dentastix name, and softer treats like Rodeo. That breadth is a big part of why it's such a familiar name — most dog owners in the UK have bought at least one Pedigree product without necessarily thinking of it as a specific brand choice.
It sits at the accessible, everyday end of the market rather than the premium end, and that's reflected in the price and the straightforward formulation of most of the range — this is food built for a dog with no particular dietary need, at a price most households can sustain long term.
What we stock
We carry a broad selection across Pedigree's wet food, dry complete food, biscuit treats, dental chews and puppy range, plus seasonal and gift treat packs when they're available. What's shown in the grid above is our current stock rather than the entire Pedigree catalogue, since the full range is genuinely large.
Dentastix in particular is worth calling out separately — it's a daily dental chew rather than a meal replacement, designed to help reduce tartar build-up as part of a normal dental care routine alongside regular brushing where that's possible, not instead of it.
Is Pedigree a good brand of dog food?
It's a reasonable, well-established everyday choice for a dog with straightforward digestion and no specific health condition, and its scale means quality control and availability are both consistent. It isn't marketed as a specialist or premium food, so a dog with a known sensitivity or a specific health need is usually better served by something formulated more specifically for that.
As with any brand, the honest measure is how your own dog does on it — settled stools, a steady weight and good energy over a few weeks matter more than the brand name on the packet.

Common questions
- Are Dentastix good for a dog's teeth?
- They're designed as a daily dental chew that can help reduce tartar build-up as part of a normal dental routine, but they work alongside brushing and regular vet checks rather than replacing either. Persistent bad breath or visible tartar is still worth mentioning to your vet.
- Is Pedigree a premium dog food?
- No, Pedigree sits at the accessible, everyday end of the UK dog food market rather than the premium end. That doesn't make it a poor choice for a healthy dog with no specific dietary need, but it isn't formulated as a specialist or grain-free range.
- Does Giddy Pets stock every Pedigree product?
- No, we stock a broad selection across Pedigree's main ranges rather than the entire catalogue the brand produces. What's shown in the grid above reflects our current stock, and that changes as availability does.
- Can puppies eat regular Pedigree treats?
- Check the pack for a minimum age or puppy-specific labelling, since some treats are formulated for adult dogs and Pedigree makes dedicated puppy options too. As with any treat, keep portions small and count them as part of your puppy's daily food rather than extra on top.
