There are two prebiotics in it at 0.1% each — FOS and MOS — and yucca schidigera extract at 0.015%, which Vitalin include to help with the smell of the stools rather than for nutrition.

On the grain-free question. This food is not grain free, and it is worth saying plainly because ferret owners are often sent looking for exactly that. Rice is the second ingredient by weight. What Vitalin actually claim on the label is hypoallergenic and wheat gluten free, which is a narrower promise than grain free and not the same thing. If a vet has told you to avoid grain altogether, this is not the bag.
