Specifications

Brand: Vitakraft
Food type: Complementary_or_treat

Full description

A budgie left with nothing but a seed bowl spends most of its day doing very little, and the point of a treat stick is to give it something to strip and work at rather than something to simply peck up.

This is a complementary treat, not a complete food. Vitakraft bake it three times onto a natural wooden stick, which the manufacturer says gets closer to how budgies actually strip seed from grasses in the wild than tipping a treat into a dish. It comes with a cage clip and is fortified with added vitamins and honey.

Complementary treat, not a complete food
Two sticks per pack
Baked three times onto a natural wooden stick
Comes with a practical cage clip
Fruit flavour, with added vitamins and honey

what the makers haven't told us. No ingredient list or percentage breakdown is supplied — only that it's baked, fruit-flavoured and fortified with vitamins. Treat it exactly as its own category says: a treat, not the main thing your budgie eats.

Who it's for: budgie owners after an occasional enrichment treat for the cage clip, rather than a daily addition to the seed bowl.

Common questions

Is this a complete food for my budgie?

No — it's a complementary treat, meant to sit alongside a proper diet rather than replace one.

How many sticks come in a pack?

Two.

What flavour is it?

Fruit, with added vitamins and honey.

How is it meant to be given?

It clips onto the cage bars, so your budgie works at it there rather than having it dropped into a bowl.

How long does delivery take?

Your estimated delivery date is shown above and updates automatically. UK orders are sent tracked — standard delivery is £2.99, and free on orders over £39.

How do I track my order?

As soon as your order is dispatched we email you a tracking link, so you can follow it all the way to your door.

What if I need to return my order?

You have 14 days from delivery to change your mind (food, treats and frozen items have a shorter window). Just email us with your order number and we’ll send the return steps the same working day — see our delivery & returns page for details.

Vitakraft Budgie Stick Fruit 60g

Why we chose it

It's a treat with a job to do beyond taste — the baked stick and the cage clip give a budgie something to work at, closer to how it would feed in the wild than a bowl of loose treats. Two sticks per pack means it lasts a while.
