Specifications

Brand: VetIQ

Full description

Brushing wins the argument for dental health every time, but that's no use to an owner whose dog won't tolerate a brush anywhere near its mouth.

VETIQ Denti-Care is a liquid added directly to your pet's drinking water rather than brushed onto the teeth. Its active ingredient is pomegranate extract (Punica Granatum), which VETIQ describe as mainly proven to reduce dental plaque, and using it requires no rinsing or brushing step afterwards.

250ml bottle
Added to drinking water, not brushed on
Active ingredient: pomegranate extract (Punica Granatum)
No brushing required
Aimed at reducing oral bacteria and dental plaque

What's not on the card. VETIQ haven't given us a millilitre dose against water bowl size, so follow the dosing instructions on the bottle rather than guessing, and this is a maintenance product rather than a treatment for dental disease that's already present — a vet check is still the right move for visible tartar, bad breath that persists, or a sore mouth.

Who it's for: owners of a dog or cat that won't tolerate brushing, who want a passive way to support dental health through the water bowl instead.

Why we chose it

For an animal that won't sit still for a toothbrush, a water additive is genuinely the only realistic option left, rather than a nice-to-have alternative. Pomegranate extract as the named active ingredient is more specific than most water additives bother to be.
