Full description
A bed that slides across a hard floor every time a dog jumps on or off it is not doing its job properly, and it's a particular problem on laminate and tiled flooring where most beds have nothing to grip. The backing matters as much as the top layer.
Vetbed is a super-soft, mat-style bed made from 95% recycled content, which the manufacturer describes as warm, safe and comfortable while being kinder to the environment than a fully synthetic alternative. It's finished with a ribbed anti-slip backing specifically for laminate and tiled floors, and is easy to machine wash at 40 degrees and quick to dry. It measures 100 x 75cm, in a grey, black and white stars-and-paws pattern.
- 95% recycled content
- Ribbed anti-slip backing for laminate and tiled floors
- Machine washable at 40C, quick to dry
- 100 x 75cm
- Suitable for dogs, cats and other small animals
One thing worth knowing. "Recommended by vets, breeders and other pet care professionals" is the manufacturer's own line about Vetbed generally, not a claim we can verify for this specific pattern or batch, so take it as background on the brand rather than something we're endorsing ourselves.
Who it's for: owners with laminate or tiled floors whose current bed slides around, or anyone who wants a genuinely washable mat-style bed rather than one with a cover that has to come off first.

Why we chose it
An anti-slip backing that's actually built for hard flooring is worth more than it sounds if you've ever watched a bed skid across a kitchen floor. Being machine washable at 40C without needing a separate cover is also just less hassle on wash day.
