Vetbed Non Skip Charcoal & Yellow Bees

100 x 75cm is the crate size. It is the one to buy if the bedding is going into a crate, a car boot or a whelping box rather than covering a corner of the floor — big enough for a medium dog to stretch out on, small enough to go in a domestic washing machine without a fight.

It is the same Vetbed as the larger pieces: deep-pile fabric made from 95% recycled content, with a ribbed anti-slip backing on the underside for laminate and tiled floors. It washes at 40 degrees and dries quickly, which is the reason Vetbed say it is recommended by vets, breeders and other pet care professionals. This one is charcoal with a yellow bee print.

It is a mat rather than a mattress. No padding layer — deep-pile fabric on a thin non-slip backing — so it gives warmth, grip and washability, not cushioning. In a crate that is usually exactly right; on a hard floor for an older dog with sore joints it wants something underneath it. Vetbed publish no thickness figure to us, so we cannot tell you how deep the pile runs.

Who it's for: crate floors, car boots and whelping boxes, and anyone whose dog's bedding goes through the machine often enough that surviving it is the specification that matters.
