Product description

Four colours in one box, each carrying a different fruit at 12%: strawberry in the red biscuits, apricot in the orange, apple in the green and banana in the yellow. Twelve percent is a high figure for a baked small-pet treat, and it is declared per colour.

The recipe is wheat flour, oatmeal, sugar, soya oil, whole wheat flour, the four fruits, and flaked maize, with colourants. Sold for guinea pigs, and fine for the other small pets in the house.

Four fruits at 12% each, one per biscuit colour
Suitable for guinea pigs, and also rabbits and other small pets
One or two a day, hand-fed or hidden for foraging
A complementary treat, fed alongside a proper daily diet

Guinea pigs cannot make their own vitamin C, and this does not fix that. It is a fruit biscuit, not a supplement, and the brand makes no vitamin C claim for it. A guinea pig's vitamin C has to come from its daily food, fresh greens or a proper supplement. Treat this as what it is, which is a treat.

Who it's for: guinea pig owners who want variety in the treat jar, and households with several different small pets sharing one box.

Why we chose it

Twelve percent fruit per biscuit is at the top end of what this shelf offers, and four flavours in one box earns its place in a house with more than one small pet. We have said plainly that it is not a vitamin C source, because that is what guinea pig owners are usually really asking.

Do they provide vitamin C?

No claim is made for vitamin C. Guinea pigs need it daily from their main food, fresh greens or a supplement, not from a treat.

Yes. They are named for guinea pigs but suit other small pets too.

How many a day?

One or two depending on the size of your pet, alongside their normal diet and unlimited hay and water.

Is there an analytical panel?

No. The brand publishes composition, additives and feeding guidance for its baked treats and no analytical constituents.
