A small pack can still carry enough label detail to make a careful hamster-food comparison.

Supreme Science Selective Hamster is a nutritionally complete diet in a 350g pack. The recipe lists ground wheat, ground soya bean meal, ground barley, ground oats, ground dried locust bean husks, whole brown linseed, soya bean oil and hydrolysed yeast. The analysis gives 19% protein, 5% crude fibre, 5% fat, 5.5% inorganic matter, 0.8% calcium and 0.6% phosphorus. Added nutrition includes vitamins A and D3 plus iron, iodine, copper, manganese, zinc and selenium compounds.

The adult amount is a range. The manufacturer gives 5–10g per day for an average adult hamster and says fresh water should always be available. The food contains wheat and soya ingredients, may contain genetically modified soya and may contain traces of nuts. Store it in a cool, dry place.

Who it's for: hamster owners who want a complete single food in a modest 350g pack, with the composition, minerals, additives and adult feeding range clearly stated.
