Not every garden bird feeds the same way — some will happily cling to a hanging feeder, and others only really settle on something flat, which is why a feeder that only does one of those two things misses half its potential audience.

This is an 8-inch, 2-port mealworm feeder that works two ways: hang it from a tree, washing line or hook in the usual manner, or mount it on a length of dowel driven into the ground thanks to its base design. Its base tray doubles as a flat feeding station for birds that won't use a hanging port.

• 8"/20cm feeder with 2 feeding ports
• Can be hung, or mounted on dowel in the ground
• Base tray doubles as a flat feeding surface
• Designed specifically for dispensing mealworms

One thing worth knowing. Supa don't publish how many mealworms the feeder holds, so we can't give a refill estimate — mealworms are also a food that spoils faster than seed in wet weather, so it's worth clearing and replacing any that don't get eaten promptly.

Who it's for: anyone feeding mealworms to attract ground-feeding and hanging-feeder birds alike, who wants one feeder that works both ways rather than buying two separate designs.
