Poultry keeping throws up a very specific and slightly comic problem: birds will foul anything they can stand on, and a bowl on the floor of a run is something they can stand on. Getting the container off the ground is most of the answer, which is why the cup that hangs is the one that actually gets used and the dish that looked nicer sits in the shed.

Supa's cage cup - also sold as a coop cup or a galley cup - is moulded in what Supa describe as non-toxic, high quality, odourless plastic, and it takes either food or water. It is meant for show cages, carry cages, or hung inside a run for feeding treats. Supa's own maintenance advice is to clean it occasionally with warm water and a mild detergent, or a disinfectant solution, to stop bacteria building up. Made in the UK, and supplied in an assortment of colours.
