Specifications

Brand: Supa

Full description

Young poultry foul their own feed far more readily than adult birds do if they're able to perch or stand directly on it, which wastes feed and spreads mess through the trough.

This trough feeder is built with an anti-perching bar across the top specifically to stop birds from standing on the feed and fouling it. It measures 30cm long, 8.5cm high and 11cm wide, and can hold wheat, pellets, mash or grit, making it suitable for young birds, poults and pullets rather than a full-grown flock.

For young birds, poults and pullets

On the size. At 30cm long this is sized for young birds rather than a mature flock, so as poults grow into pullets and beyond, you may need to move up to a larger feeder rather than relying on this one long-term.

Who it's for: anyone rearing young poultry who wants to cut down on feed waste and fouling in the trough while the birds are still small.
