Product description
A wooden gnaw carved and coloured as a carrot, in the large size. It is a chew for the teeth, not a vegetable, and the shape is for the owner rather than the animal.
Continuously growing teeth need something to work against. Hay does the bulk of it, and a hard wooden gnaw gives an animal somewhere to direct the rest of that instinct, which is usually preferable to the hutch or the bars.
- Carrot-shaped wooden gnaw, large
- For rabbits, guinea pigs and small rodents
- A chew, not a food
It looks like a carrot and it is a piece of wood. Nobody is fooled except at the till. A small animal that ignores it is not being fussy, they simply have a preferred texture, which is the argument for buying an assorted bag first and the single large chew second.
Who it's for: rabbits and guinea pigs who already chew wood happily and go through a small gnaw in a week.
Why we chose it
Large gnaws last a lot longer than the small ones per pound spent, and rabbits that chew seriously get through the small ones in days. This is the size we would buy for our own.

Common questions
Is it made of carrot?
No, it is wood shaped and coloured as a carrot. It is a gnaw rather than a treat.
Does it have a feeding guide?
No, and it should not. It is not a feed, so no composition, panel or feeding instruction applies.
What size animal is it for?
This is the large size, which suits rabbits and guinea pigs. A hamster or gerbil would do better with something smaller from the assorted bag.
