Full description

A chew that also files down teeth is doing two jobs a small animal needs at once: something to gnaw on, and something abrasive enough to actually wear teeth back rather than just get nibbled.

This is a pumice cube threaded onto wood and string, designed to be gnawed and chewed, with the pumice itself providing a source of calcium as it's worn down.

Pumice cube construction
Threaded on wood and string
Provides a source of calcium
Can be attached to a cage
Prevents boredom through chewing

One thing worth knowing. there's no size or weight given for this toy on the listing, so we can't tell you exactly how large the cube is before you buy - only that it's built to be attached to a cage and chewed.

Who it's for: owners of rabbits, guinea pigs and other small animals who want a calcium-providing chew that also hangs in the cage rather than sitting loose.

Why we chose it

Combining a calcium source with a hanging chew means it does two jobs from one purchase, which is efficient for a cage that already has a lot going on in it. It's also part of a well-established range, which for a small animal chew mostly just means it's not a one-off from an unknown maker.
