A rat or degu let loose in a room without a boundary tends to end up somewhere you can't easily get them back from - under a sofa, behind a fridge, inside a wall cavity if the house allows it. A runaround ball solves that by keeping the exercise contained inside something you can see and steer.

The Zorb 'N' Orb is a clear plastic ball that's easy to assemble and simple to clean, letting a small animal move freely around a room while staying visible and contained. This is the Large size in the range, at 25cm in diameter, and Sharples specifically mark the Large as suitable for rats and degus rather than smaller species.

• 25cm diameter
• Clear construction, so the animal stays visible throughout
• Easy to assemble and simple to clean
• Large size, suited to rats and degus
• Part of the Small 'N' Furry range by Sharples

On supervision. Sharples don't publish a maximum run time or any ventilation detail on this card, so we'd treat this as a supervised activity rather than something to leave running unattended - a ball left too long, or rolled somewhere it can get stuck (stairs, a step, a door threshold), is a real risk regardless of size.

Who it's for: rat and degu owners who want supervised, out-of-cage exercise without the animal disappearing under the furniture.
