Full description

Small pets like rabbits and guinea pigs have teeth that never stop growing, so something to gnaw on isn't a luxury toy so much as basic dental maintenance.

The Burg-a-bob is a hanging gnaw toy made from natural loofa and wood, at 25cm long and 8cm in diameter. Rosewood use glue-free, pet-safe materials and dyes throughout, and the mixed textures — loofa against wood — are meant to keep a small pet interested rather than bored of one surface. Treats or vegetables can be tucked between the layers for extra encouragement.

25cm long, 8cm diameter
Natural loofa and wood construction
Glue-free, pet-safe materials and dyes
Suitable for rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters and other small rodents
Hangs; treats or veg can be added between the layers

On species. Rosewood list this as suitable for rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters and 'all other small rodents' as a broad group — it does not break out sizing advice per species, so use your own judgement on whether a 25cm hanging toy suits the space in a smaller hamster cage.

Who it's for: owners of rabbits, guinea pigs or other small rodents who want a natural gnaw toy to hang in the cage or run, rather than a plastic chew.

Why we chose it

Glue-free construction matters on anything a small animal is going to chew through completely, because glue is exactly the part you don't want them eating. Being able to hide treats between the layers is the other reason — it does double duty as enrichment, not just a chew.
