Six crunchy, heart-shaped cookies made on a pea flour base rather than a cereal one, with apple, a run of herbs and edible viola flowers baked into the top. Grain-free small animal treats are less common than the packaging on this aisle suggests, and the ingredient list here backs the claim up.

Pea flour is 54.1% of the recipe, and after the vegetable oil the list runs through grass seed, canary seed, apple at 5.3%, buckwheat, peppermint at 3.4%, then parsley, carrot, dandelion and nettle at 1.7% each, with hemp, linseed, fennel and black cumin seeds and viola flowers at 1.3%. Every plant in there is named and most carry a percentage, which is rare.

Yes, on the ingredient list. The base is pea flour, and the seeds in there, grass, canary, buckwheat, hemp, linseed, fennel and black cumin, are not cereal grains.

How many can a rabbit have?
