Full description

A dog left with a rawhide roll will often finish it inside an hour, which is one reason owners look for a chew that is tougher going and does not come apart in the same way.

This is a single beef ear, 100% beef and nothing else added to the recipe. It comes out at crude protein 81%, crude fat 4%, moisture 10% and crude ash 4%, and Paddock Farm class it as grain and gluten free. It is suitable from 12 weeks of age, though as a natural product colour can vary from ear to ear.

100% beef, single ingredient
Crude protein 81%, crude fat 4%
Moisture 10%, crude ash 4%
Grain and gluten free
Suitable from 12 weeks
Sold as a single ear (SGL)

What the label doesn't say: Paddock Farm don't give a weight for this chew, only that it is sold single — so you are buying one ear, and it may vary in colour and size as a natural product, with small or broken pieces removed to avoid a choking hazard.

Who it's for: owners who want a single-ingredient, low-fat chew for a dog from 12 weeks up, kept for supervised chewing rather than left down unattended.

Why we chose it

At 81% protein and 4% fat this is a genuinely lean chew, which matters if you are watching a dog's weight but still want something that lasts. It is also a single ingredient — 100% beef — so there is nothing else on the list to cross-check against an allergy.
