Full description
Boredom in a dog rarely shows up as boredom - it shows up as a chewed cushion or an emptied bin, because a dog with nothing to solve will find something to dismantle instead. A puzzle feeder gives that same problem-solving instinct somewhere useful to go.
The Nina Ottosson Dog Smart is an entry-level puzzle game measuring 29cm, built around hiding treats that a dog has to work out how to access rather than simply eat from a bowl. It's positioned as an introductory game in the Nina Ottosson range, aimed at dogs new to puzzle-solving toys rather than ones already used to more complex challenges.
- 29cm puzzle toy
- Entry-level difficulty in the Nina Ottosson range
- Treats hidden for the dog to problem-solve toward
- Encourages mental stimulation through play
One thing worth knowing. We have not been given the toy's material or any cleaning instructions, so there is nothing here confirming whether it is dishwasher safe. Check with us before assuming either way, particularly if you plan to wash it after outdoor play.
Who it's for: owners of a dog that's new to puzzle toys, or a dog that gets bored quickly and benefits from a mental task alongside physical exercise.

Why we chose it
Puzzle feeders are one of the more reliable ways to tire out a bored dog without another walk, and starting with an entry-level difficulty makes sense before jumping straight to a harder one. Nina Ottosson is also a well-established name in this specific category, not a generic own-brand copy.
