Full description

Small pets that forage in the wild spend most of their waking hours doing exactly that, and a treat shaped like something to dig through rather than a flat biscuit gives them more to do with it.

The bowl itself is made of palm leaf and is edible, filled with Timothy Hay and Meadow Grass, plus a mix of flowers — Marigold, Hibiscus, Rose, Cornflowers and Blue Mallow.

Edible palm leaf bowl
Filled with Timothy Hay and Meadow Grass
Marigold, Hibiscus, Rose, Cornflower and Blue Mallow flowers
Protein 10%, Oils 2%, Fibre 27%, Ash 5%
60G
Suitable for rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, rats and mice

On feeding it whole. The whole bowl, film removed, goes into the enclosure and is meant to be eaten along with the hay inside it — this isn't a container you refill, it's consumed itself. Fibre is 27%, which is respectable for a treat but well below what a hay-based staple diet should be providing on its own.

Who it's for: owners of rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, rats or mice wanting an edible foraging activity rather than a plain treat.

Why we chose it

The bowl being edible rather than just a container is the point of this one — nothing to throw away once it's empty. At 60G it's a small enough size to offer as an occasional foraging treat rather than a daily habit.
